What started with a wood-fired oven on a trailer has grown into a traveling pizza experience serving communities throughout Southeastern Connecticut and beyond.
The Rolling Tomato began in 2011, when our first Italian wood-fired oven was mounted onto a custom-built trailer. From our first event at a marina open house, we’ve continued rolling from place to place—serving fresh, wood-fired pizza at farmers markets, festivals, private parties, fundraisers, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds.
Our pizza is made with hand-tossed dough, homemade sauce, fresh ingredients, and cooked in our authentic wood-fired brick ovens at high temperatures. But The Rolling Tomato is about more than just pizza—it’s about bringing something memorable to every event we attend.
Today, our trailers continue to bring the oven, the fire, and the pizza directly to our customers. Whether you’re stopping by to grab a pizza in Groton or inviting us to your next event, we’re proud to be part of the local community and to keep the pizza rolling.
